Lent Devotional / Day 3

In this season of Lent (40 days leading up to Easter) I choose to devote my daily sketches to the season of Lent!
'Lent is a season leading up to Easter, a time when Christians have historically prepared their hearts for Easter with reflection, repentance, and prayer. Lent begins with Ash Wednesday and proceeds for forty days, excluding Sundays, and culminating with Good Friday and Holy Saturday. Many Christians choose to celebrate a fast throughout the season of Lent, but the focus is not on depriving themselves of something as much as it is on devoting themselves to God and his purposes in the world.' Day 3 - John the Baptist Prepares the Way
The beginning of the gospel about Jesus Christ, the Son of God. It is written in Isaiah the prophet: “I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way” - “a voice of one calling in the desert, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.’ (Mark 1-1:3)
